Flood Fest 2012 is a music festival in support of Flood.FM, an online music community being developed right here in Kansas City.
Flood Fest 2012 will feature more than 30 bands, DJs and performers among multiple venues in Westport and the surrounding area on Wednesday, November 21st from 6 PM to 2 AM.

Super Massive Black Holes
As any science-fiction fan knows, black holes are strange objects... so dense that nothing, not even light, can escape its gravitational pull within a boundary known as the "event horizon." They may result from the catastrophic collapse of a dying star, or they may develop as the supermassive core of an entire galaxy. Astronomers have observed jets and bubbles of radiation that appear to emanate from black holes, and they've even spotted the whirling disks of hot material that surround active black holes. But no one has yet seen the black holes themselves.

Born In Babylon is a group of up and coming Midwest reggae hard-hitters making a name for themselves in the 2013 year. Composed of members from all over the country (California, Kansas, Missouri, Texas Louisiana), this Kansas City based reggae band pushes the limitations of reggae music and made its debut on the Midwest Reggae scene in early 2012. Since then the group has released their first single, "Farmer," and shared a stage with many great reggae acts including Josh Heinrichs, Skillinjah, Natural Vibrations, 77 Jefferson, Arm The Poor, The Jah Kings, The Jah Lion band, and many more. Coming strong with a "rough and tough" "roots" reggae sound, BIB created powerful music with messages to inspire political awareness and positive forms of social interaction. Born In Babylon uses their music in an effort to create a peaceful, healthy, and free world for audiences today and generations to follow.
