Kataklysm
Kataklysm
Canadian Death Metal legends Kataklysm officially formed in the fall of 1991, they released a now classic demo called Death Gate Cycle Of Reincarnation in 1992 that got world attention and a record deal with Germany's Nuclear Blast records, the band signed in 1993 and immediately released the demo on CD format and added the bonus track The Orb Of Uncreation which resulted in the creation of the critically acclaimed MCD The Mystical Gate Of Reincarnation. Kataklysm gained world praise and recognition ...a new style and influence was born : the Northern Hyperblast ..and that was just the beginning! In 1995 the band releases their first album entitled Sorcery which quickly propelled Kataklysm as one of the new leaders and forces to be reckon with in the extreme metal scene!

The band follow up again with another hard hitting assault in 1996 with the release of the second full length album Temple Of Knowledge accompanied with a video clip for the track The Awakener which resulted in headliner tours and a bright future a head. With releases like Northern Hyperblast Live a limited edition CD and the controversial 3rd album Victims Of This Fallen World in 1998 the band showed divesity and explored new territory in which Kataklysm found new ground to establish a new sound that soon that would pave the way for new classics to come!

In 2000 Kataklysm strike with a deadly weapon and 4th album called The Prophecy (Stigmata Of The Immaculate) an album that put Kataklysm on a new course and new horizons, that critics called one of the most devastating release in extreme music in years. With all eyes on Canada's finest export Kataklysm, the pressure was one. but that's when Kataklysm are their most lethal! In 2001 a classic extreme album was born entitled Epic (The Poetry Of War), with a melodic edge backed by extreme roaring power. The bands 5th album has become Kataklysm's finest hour leaving critics stupefied and the world begging for more!

So here we are today with tours in over 19 countries around the world, TV appearances expanding in 11 years of existence of blood & sweat, Kataklysm are back to prove that aging brings experience that make great leaders, Kataklysm are at the top of they're form and have evolved into a powerhouse that will crush all and leave nothing but Shadows & Dust for the mortals to beg! Their 6th album to be released in fall of 2002! Once again handled in the true mercenary fashion of Kataklysm with a production that will leave you breathless. A new chapter is born.. a new era in extreme music.. be prepared for Kataklysm's deadly grip!! Here is what one of North Americas most respected writers has to say about this new masterpiece: "Like true Gladiators, Shadows And Dust tears at you with violent power, crude anger and the barefaced truth of somebody with nothing to lose. A hailstorm of musical swords, without the sorcery, Kataklysm are primed to 'Face The Face Of War' with their latest. This is a furious speed freak with enough doom and gloom to lock and load you for many years to come. Think In Flames huffing gas while classic Priest blares in the background. Shadows And Dust is beauty from a world viewed with revulsion and malice. Unlike anything they've done and a true succession, Kataklysm, once again, take the heaviest of music and add true weight and consequence. " Mitch Joel (Circus Magazine/Hour/Revolver online)
Aborted
Aborted
Death metal stalwarts ABORTED returned to the forefront of the extreme metal scene in 2010 with their much lauded "Coronary Reconstruction" EP, which marked a return to the more straight-forward, brutal roots of the band and was supported by several tours through Europe and North America.

ABORTED spent the bigger part of 2010 and 2011 diligently writing the successor to "Coronary Reconstruction" and their new blood-soaked platter, entitled "Global Flatline", has definitely been worth the wait. Two years in the making, the album reeks of dedication and intense, hard work and was produced, mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen at Hansen studios in Denmark. Combining the band's undeniable ferocity and brutality with a perfect balance between technical elements and a gut-ripping old school feel, it literally is the soundtrack to the end of man. "Global Flatline" offers the fastest passages ABORTED has ever created as well as the slowest ones these lunatics have ever (de)composed. "Global Flatline" is an organic wall of death metal that leaves the listener disturbed, deranged and hungry for more.

The album's morbid artwork has been handled by the gruesome Justin Osbourn from Slasher Design and contains some of the most horrid, putrid and disgusting art the band has displayed to date. It perfectly visualizes the album's title and lyrical concept while retaining a certain retro/b-movie horror touch. As a further treat for all you death metal gourmets out there, "Global Flatline" also features several guest vocalists: Trevor Strnad from The Black Dahlia Murder, Julien Truchan of Benighted, Jason Netherton of Misery Index and Keiijo Niinima from Rotten Sound tortured their lungs and vocal chords to add even more rage to this devastating opus.

So, sharpen your scalpels and grind your saws, people: This is it, ABORTED is back 666% and will not stop until all of you are dead! Judge for yourself and check the band out as they will be crushing stages worldwide.

Originally founded in 1995 by vocalist Sven(cho) De Caluwe, ABORTED went through various incarnations, releasing six full length albums and several EP's, split releases and a DVD. Now, "Global Flatline" marks a new peak in over 15 years of dedication to the extreme, and it is far from being over – support your local cannibal commando and see you in the pit!
Marasmus
Marasmus
Marasmus was born in late 2007 from the lack of real DeathMetal in the Kansas City scene. It grew out of other bands that were friends for years, since then those bands have faded into memory and Marasmus started writing. With new breath and new killer ideas the band came to life in an attempt to bring the genre back to the city without breakdowns and without compromise.Even at the bands inception they had offers to tour with national acts and had already played their first show with Death Metal giants Drawn and Quartered. Little did they know at the time, in the near future they would share the stage with bands like Nile, Origin, Lecherous Nocturne, Hour of Penance, The Black Dahlia Murder, All Shall Perish, Cannabis Corpse, Overkill, Master and many others. Marasmus has no remorse and no quit in their blood. All that matters is the unrelenting guttural mayhem that they have created as artists and as a lifestyle. Not one member is trying to conform to any traditions or any fads, just the uncompromising brutality that is the beast of metal disease known as Marasmus.
Torn The Fuck Apart
Torn The Fuck Apart
Since the formation of Kansas City’s Torn The Fuck Apart in late 2004, the band has been busy ripping people’s faces off with a relentless onslaught of brutality. With the release of their EP, "Skinned Alive” in 2006 and consistently playing shows in and around Kansas City, the band began to build a steady following. In July of 2009 they released their next self recorded album, "Gods of Gore" and embarked on a North American tour with metal veterans Monstrosity in support of it. April 2012 saw the release of "...The Dissection of Christ", their first full length studio effort. The band continued to grow their fan base by playing both locally and regionally in support of their new record. In the course of their campaign to get their brand of death metal to the masses, they have had the honor to share the stage with such acts as: Morbid Angel, Deicide, Six Feet Under, Master, Malevolent Creation, Jungle Rot, Vader, Embalmer, Monstrosity, Broken Hope, Vital Remains, and many more. Currently they are recording their latest album which will be entitled, "Sexually Transmitted Torture", and is set to be released in June of 2014 on Ossuary Industries. Keep checking out Torn The Fuck Apart online for more updates and to see when you can catch them devastate a stage near you!
